Colleen Gentile is a member of the Healthcare and Business and Professional Litigation groups and is a shareholder of the firm. Her practice is focused primarily on medical malpractice defense, which includes the defense of hospitals, doctors, nurses, and other health care providers in professional liability cases. She practices both in the state and federal courts of Virginia. She also advises clients on credentialing, peer review, risk management and general healthcare matters. She is a proven courtroom advocate, with experience in over 50 jury trials. In addition, Colleen has significant experience with mediation, and has represented health care providers before various state disciplinary boards. Colleen has lectured to health care providers on various topics including: disclosure of negative outcomes, electronic medical records, preparation for depositions, and conciliatory statements by health care providers. Colleen has also authored various articles published by the Virginia Lawyers Weekly and the Virginia Medical Law Report. Colleen is also an animal lover, and provides legal services to those whose livelihoods depend on the care and well-being of animals, including veterinarians.
