Danny Howell is a member of the Business & Professional Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on professional liability, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Throughout his practice, Danny has represented attorneys in malpractice and racketeering suits, sanctions proceedings, and bar complaints; officers and directors in negligence actions; and psychiatrists in malpractice suits and board of medicine investigations. Danny also has extensive experience representing insurers and policyholders in coverage and bad faith cases, and has also represented businesses and individuals in commercial litigation and construction arbitration matters, and employers in discrimination and harassment cases. Danny frequently teaches continuing legal and insurance education courses on legal ethics, insurance coverage, and malpractice prevention, and was selected as a 2007 Fellow of the National Instutute for Teaching Ethics and Professionalism. Danny has written numerous articles and contributed to continuing education materials on insurance coverage, legal malpractice, legal ethics and civil litigation topics. Prior to joining Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, Danny was a partner with the law firm of Schraub, Howell & Company, Chtd.
