Elaine Jordan handles all aspects of construction-related law including:

  • Choice of entity selection for construction businesses

  • Public-Private partnerships
  • Public procurement

In addition to her construction law practice, Elaine has been "first chair" in numerous other commercial disputes, including arbitration before the National Association of Securities Dealers Regulation and trials of business torts and contract disputes (non-competition covenants, corporate dissolution, interference with contract expectancies, etc.).

She is also experienced in finance issues related to construction and real estate development and has worked to organize community banks.  In 1997, she was instrumental in chartering Metro-County Bank of Virginia, Inc. and sat on that bank's Board of Directors and loan committee until it merged with Southern Financial Bank in 2002.  She currently is a member of the advisory board of Provident Bank.

Elaine has been honored for her numerous professional and community achievements, including the 1991 Associate of the Year by the Richmond Area Municipal Contractors Association. She was on the organizing board of the Virginia Bar Association Construction and Public Contracts Law Section, and has also served many years on the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar Section. She serves on various charitable and non-profit organizations, including J. Sargent Reynolds Educational and Real Estate Foundations. She is listed on the Virginia Business magazine's Virginia "Legal Elite" and in the 2006 and 2007 Virginia Super Lawyers.
