He has successfully represented insurance companies and their policy holders in hundreds of cases throughout Virginia. These cases have involved a multitude of different issues, including bodily injury defense, product liability and fire losses, as well as premises liability, fraud and arson claims. He has also represented dozens of employers in a wide array of employment cases involving federal statues such as Title VII, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and the American with Disabilities Act. In addition, Mr. Spalding has experience representing clients before administrative bodies such as the Virginia Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Virginia Commonwealth University. He has also represented numerous home builders in construction cases. As a litigator, Mr. Spalding has successfully tried over 100 cases before judges and juries across Virginia in both state and federal courts. Mr. Spalding also has extensive experience lecturing and speaking to groups on such diverse topics as FMLA, Title VII, workplace investigations, dealing with an EEOC investigation and trying federal court cases. |
