Jayne Pemberton is a member of the Risk Management group and concentrates her practice on the defense of companies and individuals in insurance litigation, and on insurance coverage issues. Jayne also focuses on defense of toxic torts including defense of lead paint litigation. Her experience extends to both state and federal court.
Jayne speaks on legal issues at state and national meetings. Recent engagements have included the topic of defending lead paint litigation at the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys 2006 fall meeting and on examinations under oath at the International Association of Special Investigations Units. Both these areas are special concentrations for her insurance and defense practice. Jayne is very active in youth mentoring and serves as President on the Board of Directors of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Richmond & the Tri-Cities and has been adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Richmond since 2010. She also has chaired the Helping Hands Committee at St. James Church since fall 2009. In 2007, Jayne was awarded the Big Sister of the Year recognition for her volunteer service with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
