John M. Vandenhoff - Counsel
 

John Vandenhoff is a member of the Business, Finance and Real Estate practice group and the Estate and Tax Planning team.  John's specific practice areas include general corporate, business transactions, non-profit organizations, estate planning, real estate and taxation.

John has handled a wide variety of matters.  Examples include:

  • Assist small business owners in formation of corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships;
  • Review and negotiate franchise agreements and UFOCs on behalf of franchisees;
  • Handle the negotiation, acquisition or sale of businesses;
  • Formation of tax exempt organizations, such as 501 (c)(3) and 501 (c)(6) organizations;
  • Assist individuals and corporations with tax problems with both the IRS and Virginia Department of Taxation;
  • Provide estate planning assistance for clients of varying estate sizes, from small nontaxable estates to $30 million estates.

Prior to joining Sands Anderson, John practiced as an associate in a Savannah, Georgia law firm.
