Kelly B. LaPar is a member of the Business & Professional Litigation team, Construction Litigation industry practice group, and the Equine Law industry practice group.  She works in the firm's Richmond office.   

Kelly's business and construction practice focuses on business related litigation, bond claims, collection litigation, contract review and negotiation, construction defect litigation, construction related product liability claims, performance disputes, and breach of contract claims

Examples of Kelly's work include:

  • Second chair in successful representation of client in $25 million-dollar construction defect litigation involving multi-family residential development.
  • Facilitated lead counsel in the collection of over $700 thousand-dollars in payment bond claim on a public project.
  • Negotiated successful settlement of mechanic's lien claim for subcontractor client involving a mixed use commercial/residential project.

In addition to her business and construction litigation practice, Kelly also established the firm's Equine Law industry practice group.  Kelly serves the equine community in the greater Richmond area, and she provides comprehensive representation for all equine related needs. 

Kelly serves as a Board member for a therapeutic horseback riding non-profit organization for children and adults with special needs.  She is also an avid horsewoman competing with her horse on a regional and national level.
