Mark Caldwell is a member of the Risk Management, Employment Law and Workers' Compensation practice groups.  He focuses his practice in all areas of civil litigation in these practice groups. Mark has extensive knowledge and experience in the trucking industry from his former career as manager for a national trucking company.  Mark represents such trucking and moving and storage companies and other major companies in defense of personal injury or property damage, premise liability, defamation, employment law claims and workers' compensation administrative hearings.

After leaving the trucking industry and returning to law school in 1992, Mark focused his education and clinical experience in the areas of civil litigation and employment law.  Mark regularly appears in the Circuit and General District Courts of Southwest and Western Virginia as well as the Federal District Courts in this "I-81" corridor of Virginia.  Mark served as law clerk to the honorable Robert P. Joiner Commissioner, Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission.

Mark is a regular presenter at firm and industry sponsored seminars and clients' "in-house" workshops.  He is also active in the local community working with Special Olympics, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Christiansburg, Virginia Department of Parks & Recreation as a coach.
