Nicole Cheuk is a member of the Government Group and the public education law team. She concentrates her practice on representing public school boards, school management and faculty throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is based in the Richmond office.
Nicole served as an attorney at the Virginia Division of Legislative Services in Richmond, where she was lead counsel to the House Committee on Education. She was responsible for advising Delegates on all aspects of legislation before the committee and drafted the majority of legislation on education before the House Committee. She crafted reports for the legislative joint subcommittees on subjects such as STEM education, non-profit private institutions of higher education, childhood obesity and special education. She advised the Governor's staff on necessary amendments to legislation for the annual Veto Session. |
