Robin McVoy is a member of the Healthcare practice group. While her practice concentrates primarily on medical malpractice defense, she has experience in general litigation, business and nonprofit formation, and employment issues. As an animal lover and advocate, she also assists veterinarians, business owners, and pet owners with various animal-related legal issues. Robin works in the firm's Richmond office. Robin's has an undergraduate degree in biology, and has worked in medical and scientific research, neurobiology at Georgia State University and molecular genetics at Emory University. Prior to attending law school, she owned and operated a small business in the fashion industry for several years. Robin provides pro bono legal counsel to local animal rescue organizations, and represents victims of domestic violence in obtaining protective orders as a volunteer with Legal Aid. She also serves on the board of directors of the Metro Richmond Women's Bar Association and Good Shepherd Episcopal School, and as Ring Dog Rescue's delegate to the Virginia Federation of Humane Societies. Robin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law where she was a John Marshall Scholar and Articles Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review. |
