Bill Gray is a member of our Business group, concentrating his practice in bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and commercial litigation. Bill has over 20 years of experience representing a wide range of clients in bankruptcy and other insolvency matters, including banks and other secured lenders, trade vendors, landlords, employees, and local governments. Bill is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), and the current Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee of the Richmond Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section. Bill has been selected by his peers to be listed in the Best Lawyers in America 2011 Edition, and as one of Virginia's Legal Elite in Bankruptcy/Creditors' Rights, according to Virginia Business magazine in cooperation with the Virginia Bar Association. He has also been named as a "Super Lawyer" in the areas of Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights, Business Litigation, and Government Relations. He is rated BV by his peers through the Martindale Hubbell Peer Rating System. Bill is also a member of our Lobbying and Government Relations practice group, where he represents a variety of trade associations in legislative matters before the Virginia General Assembly. He has extensive experience with regulatory and administrative matters before state regulatory agencies as well. Bill was a member of the 2001 class of the Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership. Bill is active in his community, including a former chairman of the Henrico Business Council of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and current chairman of his homeowners association. He obtained his BA degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech in 1976, and his JD degree from Western State University College of Law, Fullerton, California.
