Bill Lehner leads the Automotive Law and Dealer Services team and is a part of our Business, Finance and Real Estate practice group. Bill's over 40 years of experience includes:

Bill previously practiced in the Virginia Attorney General's office, where he was the first head of the Division of Consumer Counsel and assisted in drafting Virginia's Consumer Protection Act. Bill has also served as in-house counsel for a major corporation and, for thirteen years, as General Counsel to the Virginia Auto Dealers Association.

Bill regularly serves as general and special counsel to numerous new and independent car dealers.  He is the author of articles on Automotive Law published in state and national trade association journals, and is an instructor at Continuing Legal Education seminars on Automotive Law.

Bill is a founding director and legal counsel of Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers, and serves on the Gang Reduction and Intervention Program, a joint project with the Virginia Attorney General's Office. He also serves on the Board of the Virginia Retail Merchants Association.
