Will Watkins has been an integral part of the firm's litigation department since 1982.  His practice has focused in the areas of product liability, insurance defense, insurance coverage and business dispute resolution.  He currently is the co-chair of the firm's products liability practice group and a member of the Risk Management group.

He is also the firm's leading Shareholder in the use and development of computer systems to improve the quality and efficiencies of the practice of law.

Will was raised in a small south side Virginia town where he developed strong communication skills, which allow him to understand and communicate with witnesses and jurors of diverse backgrounds.  During his college years, he worked in residential and commercial construction, providing a practical understanding of construction methods, construction terms and mechanical properties.  This experience, coupled with a solid mathematical and physics background, has served him well in his analysis and defense of construction and product liability claims.

Will has tried cases in the Virginia Circuit Courts, the United States District Courts, and in the United States Bankruptcy Court.  He has appeared and argued appeals in the Virginia Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is also experienced in the various forms of alternative dispute resolution.  His professionalism and experience with other members of the bar have earned him the "high to very high legal ability and very high ethical" Martindale Hubbell ranking as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar.
