Sands Anderson PC is currently recruiting for the following position(s):

Human Resources Coordinator (Recruiting, Development and Special Projects) - Richmond 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources in the areas of recruitment, retention, diversity, employee training and development and activities
  • Maintain human resources mailbox for resumes and inquiries
  • Manage applicant tracking and rejection letters process
  • Maintain careers section of internet
  • Maintain human resources sections of intranet
  • Help maintain job descriptions and recruiting campaigns utilizing a variety of recruitment sources
  • Manage interview, recruiting and new hire materials
  • Conduct applicant screening interviews
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews
  • Conduct reference checks
  • Coordinate employee on-boarding process and training
  • Coordinate intern program
  • Assist with planning and coordination of firm recruiting functions (summer program activities, job fairs, etc.)
  • Assist with coordination of specialized training programs and CLE sessions
  • Assist with budget planning, payment and tracking of recruiting invoices
  • Participate and assist in firmwide human resources sponsored activities (firm picnic, holiday party, etc.)
  • Handle firmwide deposit for operating and trust accounts
  • Serve as back up for Human Resources Coordinator, office services and front desk including switchboard duties
  • Handle other human resources and/or administrative projects as needed

Skills and Education Requirements:

  • Proven ability to strictly maintain the confidentiality of the department's work
  • College degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in a law firm, human resources or executive assistant environment
  • Demonstrated recruiting experience
  • Proficient in MicroSoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher & Outlook
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with careful attention to detail
  • Willingness and ability to become familiar with firm structure, policies and practices
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative, diplomacy, tact and good judgment
  • Strong communication skills; both oral and written
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to project a positive and professional image
  • Ability to work well under pressure and exude patience and high stress tolerance
