Captain's Table - Non-Profit CEO Roundtable

Join the Captain's Table, a discussion forum for a select group of executives of leading nonprofit organizations.  The purpose of the Captain's Table is to explore issues that pose the significant challenges and opportunities to your work as nonprofit leaders, and to provide a forum for learning together how best to meet them. The Captains Table is sponsored by Union/First Market Bank.  It will be led by two nonprofit advisors, Phyllis Katz and Sheila Marsh.  Topics for the fall session were chosen based on their notion of topics that would interest and challenge you.  Ms. Katz and Ms. Marsh will frame the issues, provide background information to set a common frame of reference for the discussion, and lead the discussions.  Their biographies and the agenda for the fall session are enclosed.

Sessions: September 15, October 13, November 10, December 8.

The topics and scope of the discussion will be guided by your interest and where the discussion leads.  Proposed topics for the Winter/Spring session include:

  • The Art and Purpose of Storytelling
  • Telling Our Stories - Effective Use of the Internet and Social Media
  • Strategic Plans - Using our Stories to Build them; Making Them Come True
