RICHMOND, VIRGINIA --- Colleen M. Gentile and Douglas A. Winegardner have been elected shareholders of the Sands Anderson PC law firm, President M. Pierce Rucker reported on behalf of the firm's Board of Directors today."Colleen and Doug have demonstrated exceptional skills in the law and client advocacy over their years with the firm and we are delighted that they have agreed to join our ownership ranks," said Rucker.
Gentile focuses her law practice in the healthcare area, where she defends providers and medical professionals from medical malpractice suits, and advises clients on credentialing, peer review, risk management and general healthcare matters. Gentile earned her B. S degree at Ithaca College and her J. D. at the Syracuse University School of Law. She has earned the AV rating for experience and professional ethics from the Martindale Hubbell Peer Review system, the oldest and best-known lawyer rating system in the nation.
Winegardner concentrates his practice in risk management and insurance law, frequently in aviation, admiralty and maritime matters, as well as in insurance coverage matters. His clients include transportation and shipping companies, commercial fishing operations, airlines and general aviation companies, and insurers. Winegardner earned his B. S. J. from the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and his J. D. from the Capital University Law School. After graduation, he served in the Navy Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG Corps) and worked at the United States Department of Justice.
