Griggs and Warden Join Healthcare

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (June 11, 2010) --- Ruth T. Griggs and Michelle L. Warden have joined the Healthcare Practice Group at the law firm of Sands Anderson PC as Associates, President M. Pierce Rucker announced today.

"The firm is proud that these two fine lawyers have joined our thriving healthcare law practice and are putting their legal skills to work for our clients," said Rucker.

Griggs most recently was with McCarthy, Massey & Mitchell in Manassas. Warden was with Tronfeld, West and Durrett in Richmond. Both previously served as law clerks to judges of the Circuit Court of Fairfax County.

"Ruth and Michelle both bring very useful skills and life experiences to our team," said Carlyle R. Wimbish, III, chair of the 14-lawyer Healthcare practice group. "Their analytical abilities and professionalism are already helping us better meet the demands of our statewide client base."

Griggs earned her BA from Villanova University, her MBA at Golden Gate University and her JD with honors at George Mason University School of Law. Before becoming a lawyer, she served in the U. S. Air Force's Combat Intelligence branch and as a member of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors.

Warden earned her BS from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and her JD at the University of Richmond School of Law, with honors. Prior to entering law school, she was a "beat cop" in the Fairfax County Police Department for six years, several of those in the specialty unit on bicycle patrol.
