Bill Gray Expands Sands Anderson's Bankruptcy Practice and Fredericksburg Office

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (June 4, 2002)... Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, P.C., one of Virginia's largest law firms, announces that William A. "Bill" Gray has joined as Counsel in the Business, Finance & Real Estate Practice Group. Gray comes from Washington, DC, having spent the last twelve years with the FDIC where he has worked in Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation. Gray's practice will focus on Bankruptcy, Creditors' Rights, Commercial Litigation.
Tom Ebel, President of Sands Anderson said, "Bill's bankruptcy and litigation experience will be a great asset to our bankruptcy practice." Gray has worked on complex matters including over 300 civil litigation cases. He has served as the FDIC closing attorney at numerous bank closings, and advised clients on the legal implications of hundreds of proposed business decisions involving commercial transactions for the FDIC as Receiver of failed financial institutions. He has represented the FDIC in complex commercial litigation and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Prior to joining the FDIC, Gray was a staff attorney for the Chapter 13 Trustee in the Central District of California where he successfully managed a caseload of over 250 cases per week. He received his J.D. from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California, and his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech. He is licensed to practice in Virginia, DC and California.
