(April 14, 2004) --- Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, one of Virginia's oldest and largest law firms, congratulates Robert B. "Chip" Delano, Jr. , who has been selected for membership in The Association of Life Insurance Counsel , the national bar association for life insurance attorneys. Membership is limited to attorneys in full time private practice devoting more than one-half of their law practice to providing legal services to life insurance companies or their trade associations, in-house counsel with life insurance companies, and legal staff of recognized life insurance industry trade associations.
Delano concentrates his practice in the areas of tort, insurance and appellate litigation. He has significant experience in advising and representing insurance companies and employee benefit plans regarding life, health and/or disability insurance/ERISA claims. Delano is the Immediate Past-President of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
