(August 1, 2005)...Brian R. Pitney, chair of the Business Finance and Real Estate practice at the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Children's Museum of Richmond.
Pitney has over a decade of experience representing individuals, corporations, and other entities before Virginia state courts and administrative agencies, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Richmond and Alexandria, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Brian is registered agent and general counsel for over one hundred corporations and limited liability companies in Virginia.
Currently, Pitney also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Hayes Hitzeman Foundation, as a Director of the Commonwealth Family Foundation Board, and as Vice-Chairman, Friends of the Studio School, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
