RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (June 15, 2001)... Douglas A. Winegardner recently joined the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller as an associate.
Winegardner will concentrate his practice in the area of Risk Management. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University, 1990 and law degree from Capital University Law School in 1994, where he served as associate editor of Law Review and member of the Order of the Curia. He previously served with the United States Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps. as a prosecuting attorney from 1995-1997, and at JAG headquarters in Washington, D.C. as an Admiralty & Maritime law counselor. Winegardner then served from 1999-2001 as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Aviation and Admiralty Litigation section in Washington, D.C. prior to joining the firm.
