RICHMOND, VIRGINIA -- M. Pierce Rucker was reelected to a three year term on the Board of Directors of the law firm of Sands Anderson PC, at the shareholder's annual meeting on January 18, 2010 and was subsequently selected by the Board members as President for 2010."Pierce possesses the vision and the determination that are essential as we continue growing our firm in keeping with our strategic plan," said fellow Board member L. Lee Byrd.
Rucker has spent his entire legal career at the firm after graduating from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1975. During his recent tenure as President, the firm expanded its practices in business, local government and litigation, while spinning off its worker's compensation practice into a separate law firm. In two months, Sands Anderson will move its largest office to the top of Richmond's Bank of America Center on East Main Street.
