RICHMOND, VIRGINIA --- Gladys L. Yates, a lawyer in the Local Government practice of the Sands Anderson PC law firm, has been made counsel, practice group chairman Daniel M. Siegel reported today."Since joining our team almost four years ago, Gladys has shown superb skill and sensitivity in handling the needs of our local government clients," said Siegel in announcing the change.
Yates, based in Richmond, focuses her practice on the representation of local governments, boards of supervisors, boards of social services, and government agencies on matters of governance, Freedom of Information Act compliance, procurement, contracts and policy as well as employment, adult and child protective services, and real estate. She previously worked as assistant city attorney in Lynchburg and in Roanoke.
Yates earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and her law degree cum laude at the Washington and Lee University School of Law.
