Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter.  Almost everyone is using some form of social networking today and in many cases, the online conversations, messaging and "tweets" are occurring on the job.  In this session, attorneys C. Michael DeCamps and Thomas L. Bowden will address how you can reap the benefits of social media in the hiring process and what you may need to do to prevent disciplinary issues resulting from misuse of social networking.

You will learn:

  • What to use and what not to use from social networking sites in the hiring process.
  • How to protect your company and human resources department from misuse of social networking sites.
  • What to do when employees improperly use the company brand on their private networking sites or blogs.

Mr. Bowden focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions and corporate finance. He has extensive experience in corporate law, venture capital, private equity and commercial litigation. He is one of the firm's most experienced lawyers in the use of online social media.
