Eight Named to "Best Lawyers in America 2008"

Eight shareholders at the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller are listed in the latest edition of "Best Lawyers in America", firm President C. Thomas Ebel announced today.

"It's very gratifying that we have again seen an increase in the number of attorneys from our firm who are recognized in the Best Lawyers list by our fellow practitioners in our area," Ebel remarked.

Listed this year are: Robert B. (Chip) Delano, Jr., in Insurance Law; Benjamin W. Emerson in  Municipal Law; Mary Lou Kramer (listed every year since the first edition) in Workers Compensation; Benjamin R. Lacy, IV, in Government Relations Law; Albert M. Orgain, IV, in  Insurance Law and Transportation Law; Douglas P. Rucker, Jr., in Professional Malpractice Law; M. Pierce Rucker in Medical Malpractice Law; and J. Jonathan Schraub in Professional Malpractice Law. Except for Schraub, who leads the firm's McLean office, all listed lawyers are based in Richmond.

In 2007's list, seven Sands Anderson Marks & Miller attorneys were listed. Released online last month in its 14th Edition, this is the 25th year that this national directory of peer-reviewed attorneys has been in existence.
