Robert B. "Chip" Delano, Jr., a shareholder and member of the Risk Management team, was recently elected to the Board of Governors for The Association of Life Insurance Counsel (ALIC) as its Delegate to the American Bar Association (ABA)."We think the choice of Chip by these top life insurance company professionals to represent them at the ABA House of Delegates is reflective of his experience and his reputation for personal integrity and service of the highest caliber," said Terrence L. Graves, chair of the Risk Management practice group at the firm.
Delano has a long history of service to professional groups such as ALIC that includes stints as President and Board member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (VADA), on the Board of Directors of the VADA's national counterpart, the Defense Research Institute - The Voice of the Defense Bar, and on committees of the ABA, the Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees at the College of William and Mary.
Founded in 1913, ALIC is the national bar association for life insurance attorneys.
