(April 28, 2005) L. Thompson Hanes, an attorney with Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, P.C. has been appointed to Governor Mark Warner's recently constituted Task Force on Information Technology in Health Care, C. Thomas Ebel, president of the firm, announced today.
The Task Force consists of 15 members appointed by the Governor. Its mission is to help initiate a plan for the development and implementation of a Virginia health information infrastructure and promote development of the electronic health record. Members serve for a one-year term.
