Sands Anderson Local Government Practice, Virginia Association of Counties Cites Contributions To Supervisor's Manual

 

RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (February 13, 2006)...The Local Government practice at the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks and Miller has been recognized by the Virginia Association of Counties (VACO) for the work done on the Seventh Edition of the Virginia County Supervisors' Manual, Practice Chair Daniel M. Siegel reported today.

This "bible" for new and continuing elected county supervisors and board members is an elemental resource for county governance and procedure, and "takes a layman's approach to local government law," according the to preface by Jim Campbell, executive director of VACO.

"We're delighted that VACO members and elected officials throughout the state will benefit from the hundreds of hours our attorneys and staff put in on editing and updating this important resource," Siegel stated. "We are especially proud of the leadership provided by Sharon Pandak of our firm, a longstanding VACO member, former Prince William County Attorney and the person who supervised this undertaking," he added.

The Local Government practice has fourteen full time attorneys and ten staff among its four offices, putting it among the larger local government practices in the state, according to Siegel.
