(RICHMOND, VA., May 17, 2006))... Sands Anderson Marks & Miller's Spring Public Service Employment seminars experienced record attendance with 118 human resources staff, supervisors and others among the sessions held in Roanoke, Fredericksburg and Emporia on April 18, 25, and 27.
Presenters C. Michael DeCamps, Phyllis Katz, Sharon Pandak and Gladys Yates of the firm's Local Government and Employment practice groups discussed current employment law, appropriate employment procedures, recent changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act, COBRA, and military leave. Katz remarked, "What was most exciting was that almost every participant stated how needed the training was and was looking forward to future programs on other topics."
