Pierce Rucker Elected President of Firm

M. Pierce Rucker at the law firm of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller has been elected President of the firm, Board of Directors member Benjamin W. Emerson announced today.

Rucker was elected Wednesday by the members of the Board for a one-year term to lead the firm's management team.

"Pierce has the leadership skills and the understanding of our firm's strategic goals to enable him to continue our growth and expansion," said Emerson.

Rucker practices principally in the Healthcare group at the firm, where he represents physicians  and other health care professionals and entities in administrative and legal actions. His entire legal career has been spent at Sands Anderson, and he has served previously on the Board of Directors.

Rucker is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and, for the last three years has been listed in Virginia Business' Legal Elite for his health law experience. Rucker received his bachelor's degree from the University of  Virginia and his law degree from Washington & Lee University.
