Sands Anderson Marks & Miller's Delinquent Real Estate Tax Collection Team derives from over 20 years of experience in representing counties, cities and towns across the Commonwealth of Virginia in the collection of delinquent real estate taxes. 

The requirements set forth in the Code of Virginia are followed for each delinquent tax parcel. At Sands Anderson, we understand the necessity for timeliness in completing delinquent tax collections. The procedures and systems we have developed for this very specialized service allow us to provide our clients with the most effective and efficient collection method for delinquent real estate taxes anywhere in the Commonwealth. Our mode of collection is not only extremely effective, it is fair to both the taxpayer and the non-taxpayer. 

These services are performed at virtually no cost to the taxing authority. All costs of collection are paid by the delinquent taxpayer, or are recovered upon sale of the parcel. As a result of this specialized system we have developed over the years, approximately seventy five percent (75%) of all delinquent tax parcels are redeemed prior to sale. 

We have performed in this capacity for the City of Radford, the Towns of Narrows and Wytheville, and the Counties of Appomattox, Bland, Caroline, Carroll, Craig, Culpeper, Dinwiddie, Floyd, King George, Stafford, and Wythe, and have cumulatively recovered several million dollars for these jurisdictions.
