Economic Development
Sands Anderson Marks & Miller attorneys have worked with local governments, businesses and developers to encourage and attract economic development in order to improve communities. Successful economic development includes developing agreements with the prospect that protect public resources while tactfully addressing the costs and concerns of the prospect. Sands Anderson attorneys assist in creating special tax districts, special zoning areas for intensive economic development areas, and authorities to finance infrastructure and other improvements. Our attorneys work with public-private partnerships to facilitate economic development. They work with industrial development and economic development authorities, in addition to our local governments, to approach state officials and legislators regarding the provision of state incentives for industries moving to their localities.
