David Tait joined Sands Anderson in 2016, bringing determined workmanship and dedicated legal experience. He can be your legal ally that helps you protect your interests by drafting new contracts, aiding your business in complying with contract provisions, and offering guidance when others may breach their responsibilities. David also works with the firm’s Local Government Group and its Tax Assessment Defense and Eminent Domain teams. He will work hard on your behalf so that your locality can confidently focus on ensuring the essential services that proper taxes provide.
David has had a wealth of opportunities to observe, and participate in, the judicial decision-making process. He spent one year clerking for the judges of the Circuit Court for the City of Richmond. While clerking, David provided valuable assistance and analysis on a wide array of legal subject matters. Further, while in law school, David held an externship with The Honorable Douglas O. Tice, Jr. (Ret.) of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division. David also served as Lead Articles Editor for Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest and was a member and Treasurer of the Trial Advocacy Board.
