Karissa T. Kaseorg
Karissa is a litigator who brings clarity, composure, and strategic insight to every stage of the dispute process. She enjoys partnering with individuals, companies, schools, and local governmental entities on a wide range of matters, including business and contract disputes, fraud, constitutional questions, coverage disputes, and surety bond work.
Determined and detail-oriented, Karissa combines the perspective of a generalist with the precision of a trial lawyer. Whether advising on strategy, writing persuasively on behalf of her clients, or advocating in court, she is focused on delivering practical, effective results. Her extensive trial experience in Virginia means she supports and advocates for her clients through all stages of the litigation process, and she uses her understanding of how judges and juries operate to expertly advocate for her clients.
Early on in her career, Karissa gained valuable litigation experience as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney prosecuting the sexual assault and domestic violence cases for her locality. She also served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Randolph A. Beales of the Virginia Court of Appeals following law school.
In her spare time, Karissa is gradually restoring her Jackson Ward home, built in the 1800s. She also loves exploring Richmond's outdoor spaces with her husband and children.
“In every interaction, Karissa was prompt, instructive, and pleasant. She was very helpful guiding us through a unique request.”
