Amanda is a tax and business attorney who focuses on entity tax structuring, serving organizations and individuals with federal tax matters including partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and trusts. She helps clients structure their businesses by navigating complex IRS guidance and resolving tax challenges with confidence. In addition to advising businesses and individuals on tax issues, Amanda counsels employers on employee benefits, executive compensation, and related tax considerations.
Before joining Sands Anderson, Amanda served with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel where she counseled practitioners on tax guidance , issued private letter rulings, and collaborated with IRS litigation teams during examinations and disputes. Her work included shaping both internal procedures and taxpayer-facing guidance, giving her unique insight into how the IRS approaches tax issues.
Amanda is passionate about translating her clients' business goals into practical tax strategies. Whether they're launching a new venture or managing an established operation, she takes time to understand what matters most to each client and builds solutions that support both immediate business needs and long-term growth.
Outside of work, Amanda can be found on her bike, weightlifting, or planning her next trip abroad.
