D. Scott Seery

Favorite Book: Anything by Tom Clancy

Scott focuses his legal practice on commercial real estate acquisition, development, and finance, along with general business matters. He works closely with real estate developers across the East Coast on projects ranging from office buildings and shopping centers to storage facilities and subdivisions.

Real estate developers and franchisees turn to Scott for guidance through every stage of a project, from acquiring property and securing financing to leasing and long-term development. Scott also handles commercial leasing work for clients with properties throughout Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia.

Scott’s career started in bankruptcy and commercial litigation, followed by years representing lenders in financing transactions. That experience gives him a clear understanding of what matters most to banks and helps him negotiate effectively on behalf of borrowers and developers.

When he’s not practicing law, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, working out at the gym, and boating near his home in Sandbridge.
