As leader of Sands Anderson’s Intellectual Property Team, Eric can assist your business in safeguarding your business's brand. He enjoys showing clients opportunities to monetize intellectual property through licenses, assignments, and spin-outs. Eric also has experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, finance, and business formations. He has successfully resolved shareholder and owner disputes.
In bankruptcy, Eric has experience representing banks, trade vendors, committees, and trustees in complex commercial cases. He can assist you or your business with asset sales, secured lender claims, and adversary proceedings and other contested matters. He has resolved countless preference and fraudulent transfer complaints in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, including in In re Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. Eric can use his experience to guide you or your business through the bankruptcy of a business partner or co-venturer. His aim is to serve as an ongoing ally and provide lasting value.
While in law school, Eric served on the Washington & Lee Law Review editorial board and interned for The Honorable Ross W. Krumm, Chief Judge, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia.
