About

Biography

Brian Muse offers complete consultative guidance for clients navigating labor and employment law and litigation. By balancing a thoughtfulness and in-depth knowledge of the law, Brian’s principled, tailored support helps his clients address their unique business goals. His legal strengths lie in both litigation and counseling, and he supports an array of client needs including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims. In addition, Brian has experience representing clients in labor matters, including unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB and Union grievances. Brian also regularly litigates issues concerning insurance contracts in Virginia state and federal courts, as well as other complex contractual and commercial matters.

Whether you’re facing lawsuits alleging violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act or navigating state law employment issues, Brian works with outcome-oriented efficiency. He takes the time to understand his client’s objectives and explores creative solutions. He assesses the complex relationship between your legal needs and business goals.

Viewed as a partnership, Brian pays attention to the culture your business promotes. He purposefully reflects each business’s unique history and specific future goals when representing his clients. He also provides onsite training and seminars related to anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies to help your business stay on track and come out ahead.

After spending six-years supporting a global law firm in northern Virginia, Brian returned home to Williamsburg. He joined Sands Anderson in 2016 and serves clients in the Hampton Roads and Richmond markets.
