R. Webb Moore

Favorite Book: Ulysses by James Joyce

Webb is a professional engineer and experienced lawyer who assists owners, contractors, subcontractors, developers, architects, and engineers with construction-related and development issues. Utilizing his background and experience in engineering, business, and law, Webb is adept at problem-solving and protecting his clients’ legal rights, contractual and otherwise.

Webb negotiates construction and design contracts nationwide, defends and prosecutes large, complex construction claims, including mechanic’s lien claims, and represents design professionals before the Virginia State Board of Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects. He has experience handling the appeals of public contract cases before the Federal Board of Contract Appeals, and his extensive court experience includes representing clients in both state and federal courts in Virginia.

In addition to his construction and real estate development law practice, Webb represents business owners and individual entrepreneurs in a wide range of business and litigation matters. His experience extends to product liability defense and intellectual property law, including IP litigation.

A licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a certified construction arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association, Webb also is registered to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a frequent lecturer and author on all aspects of construction, development, and intellectual property law.

When not helping clients with construction and litigation issues, Webb enjoys swimming, tennis, biking, and walking. He is an active supporter of the American Red Cross and donates surgical blood as often as he is eligible.
