Brad King Retires from Sands Anderson
After more than three decades advising Virginia’s public schools, Brad King is retiring from Sands Anderson.
Brad’s contributions have left a lasting mark on our firm and on school divisions statewide. His enthusiasm for the work, dedication to clients, and commitment to the ethical practice of law have set a high standard for all of us. And, of course, his Hokie spirit has never wavered.
Raised by public educators, Brad has always understood the challenges and rewards of serving Virginia’s schools. He believes in the power of public education and has worked diligently to help school divisions find practical solutions to complex legal issues.
Brad shared, “It has been a professional privilege to work with dedicated public school officials and educators for the entirety of my 30-year legal career. I remain impressed with their inspiring efforts on behalf of Virginia’s children. I am confident our education clients will continue to be well cared for by my colleagues at Sands Anderson.”
Brad is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. He joined Sands Anderson in 2011 and grew the firm’s education law practice into the largest in the state. His leadership, counsel, and friendship have meant a great deal to all of us. We wish him a wonderful retirement and look forward to carrying forward his commitment to Virginia’s schools.
