Sands Anderson Shareholders Confirm 2026 Board of Directors

RICHMOND, Va. (January 28, 2026) --- Sands Anderson PC confirmed its 2026 leadership with the re-election of Brian R. Pitney as a member of the Board of Directors and the re-appointment of Jeffrey H. Geiger, as firm President. Geiger and Pitney lead the firm alongside W. Ashley Burgess, the third member of the Board of Directors.

Pitney's reelection to the Board was unanimous among shareholders. It will be his fourth term, having first been elected to the Board in 2017. He is a member of the firm’s Business Group and served as the Group Leader for 12 years. Pitney advises clients in business formations, commercial real estate, commercial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. He has been listed in Virginia Business magazine’s “Legal Elite” since 2006 and was named to The Best Lawyers in America® from 2019 until 2026. In addition, Pitney and was featured among Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2019 Class of Leaders in the Law.

Geiger joined the Board in 2018 after serving as Litigation Group Leader for 10 years. He focuses his practice on business litigation, eminent domain, and legal malpractice defense/legal ethics. He has been recognized for his litigation experience in Virginia Business Magazine's "Legal Elite" since 2005 and in Super Lawyers® since 2007. In addition, Virginia Lawyers Weekly has named Geiger a “Leader in the Law.”
