RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (June 15, 2018) – Sands Anderson PC, a Mid-Atlantic law firm, is pleased to announce that Terrence L. Graves, Esquire has been installed as the 134th president of the Richmond Bar Association. Graves took office on June 1st.

Graves is a shareholder at Sands Anderson and serves as co-leader of the Litigation Group and chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He served as president of Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys from 2007-2008. Graves is currently the Transportation Section Chair of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He is a steering committee member of the DRI Trucking Law Committee and previously served as a state representative.
He is consistently recognized by his peers for inclusion in “Best Lawyers in America©” (Transportation Law and Personal Injury-Defense), “Super Lawyers®”, and Virginia Business “Virginia’s Legal Elite.” He was selected as a Virginia Lawyers Weekly “Leader in the Law” in 2008. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
Graves practices in the areas of commercial transportation, product liability, construction defect, premises liability, and professional liability defense. He has tried cases in a majority of judicial circuits and all federal district courts in Virginia and has also been admitted pro hac vice in state courts in Maryland, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia.
