Sands Anderson Welcomes Tax Attorney Amanda R. Markarian
RICHMOND, Va. (November 17, 2025) – Sands Anderson PC today announced Amanda R. Markarian has joined the firm’s Richmond office as an associate. Markarian is a tax and business attorney who specializes in entity tax structuring, serving organizations and individuals with federal tax matters including partnerships, LLCs, S corporations, and trusts. She also counsels employers on employee benefits, executive compensation, and related tax considerations.
Markarian helps clients structure their businesses by navigating complex IRS guidance and resolving tax challenges with confidence. She previously served with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel where she counseled practitioners on tax guidance, issued private letter rulings, and collaborated with IRS litigation teams during examinations and disputes. This experience gives her the unique perspective on IRS processes and insights, allowing her to anticipate issues and provide strategic, practical solutions for her clients.
