Favorite Book: The Three-Body Problem Trilogy by Liu Cixin

Alex Ashrafi advises entrepreneurs and growing companies on the corporate and transactional work that helps them form entities, raise capital, bring on investors, and prepare for key transitions in their businesses.

Day to day, Alex works closely with management teams to address ongoing legal needs and advise on operational decisions. He particularly enjoys working with new businesses, helping them put the right structure in place from the start so they can scale without complications later.

He has structured and supported asset and equity sales, securities offerings under Regulation A and Regulation D, and investment fund formations, and advises clients through reorganizations and other strategic changes. His work spans renewable energy, technology and software, private equity, real estate investment, construction, and agriculture.

Alex is known for getting up to speed quickly and for providing clear, concise guidance as matters progress. Clients value his patience and cool-headed judgment, particularly in moments of pressure.

Outside of his practice, Alex enjoys rowing, music, acting, home projects, and spending time with his children.
