As Sands Anderson PC, a Mid-Atlantic transactional and litigation law firm, approaches its seventh delinquent real estate tax sale for the City of Petersburg, it is pleased to report that it has collected a total of $2,457,977.78 for the City.

Kevin Brown, Treasurer of the City of Petersburg, hired Sands Anderson to collect delinquent real estate taxes for the City in 2012. The firm uses a number of judicial procedures, including judicial sales or auctions, to collect the tax obligations of the property owners.

In just four years, Sands Anderson has resolved more than 430 of the accounts turned over to it, and has conducted a total of six tax sales for the City. Its seventh sale of delinquent tax properties is scheduled to take place on June 11, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Public Library of the City of Petersburg and should include more than 50 properties.  More information can be found at http://www.vadelinquenttaxsale.com/ or http://www.atauction.biz/.

“We are dedicated to providing the best possible legal services to the City of Petersburg, and we have demonstrated that we obtain excellent results for its citizens,” said James E. Cornwell, Jr., supervising attorney for the delinquent real estate tax collections.
