Sands Anderson Shareholder Terrence L. Graves Receives Award for Civility and Professionalism

RICHMOND, Va. (March 29, 2021) – Sands Anderson PC today announced shareholder Terrence L. Graves has been given the Civility and Professionalism Award by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (VADA). The award was presented during the  VTLA annual meeting on March 26.

The Civility and Professionalism award is given by each association to a member of the other who exhibits the highest degree of civility and professionalism in dealing with litigation opponents. This joint project is intended to nurture the spirit of civility in Virginia practice by recognizing the bar leaders who exemplify all that is best in the practice of law.

Graves is litigator with more than 29 years of experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, trials, arbitrations and mediations. His passion for the law, work ethic, and integrity have helped clients navigate a vast range of complex legal issues. During his career, Graves has tried cases in a majority of judicial circuits and all federal district courts in Virginia. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in state courts in Maryland, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia.

Graves has been an active participant in VADA, including prior service as the VADA President and as a member of the Board of Directors.
