COVID-19: What You Need To Know

LAST UPDATED: March 15, 2020

Our nation is facing a serious public health crisis the scope of which is unprecedented in our lifetimes. To put it mildly, it is impactful to ourselves, families, clients and our firm. This is not an easy time for any of us, but we are fortunately, as a firm, in a strong position in terms of our human talent, technology and finances.

The firm remains open, however effective Monday, March 16th through Tuesday, March 31st if you need to work remotely you are permitted to do so. We are under no illusions that the public health crisis will be over within this timeframe, but we want to be nimble and flexible in how we approach the changing circumstances. If you choose to work offsite, we expect you will complete all of your work and be available during normal business hours. This time out of the office will not be counted against your PTO or sick leave.

We must continue to serve our clients, and that will require us to help each other. In the coming days and weeks there may be scenarios in which some individuals or groups need help to get all necessary tasks completed. Please be willing help one another and accommodate the needs of our business. Our offices will remain open for anyone who prefers to come in, and obviously, many tasks will require people to be physically present in each office.

Our Temporary Liberal Leave and Telecommuting Policy and Infectious and Contagious Disease Policy were adopted today by the Board of Directors. So that we can accommodate individual needs, we ask that you let Janet Broadway know as soon as possible whether your personal circumstances prevent you from working in the office. For some, and perhaps many of you, consideration should be given to the health of a family member, childcare responsibilities, or personal concerns. If so, we will work with you to accommodate your concerns. And you will continue to be paid.

This is a shared challenge, but one that we can overcome by working together. We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to work to keep you updated in the days and weeks ahead. Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your support as we work our way through these challenging circumstances.
