Alexander S. Jones

As an associate in Sands Anderson’s School & Education Law team, Alex works with public school divisions in Virginia on general education and special education matters, including IDEA and Section 504 issues.

School clients will find Alex to be both energetic and knowledgeable, simultaneously focusing on the legal intricacies and the personal concerns of each matter he handles. Whether navigating local policies, resolving student disputes, or representing clients in due process hearings, Alex will approach every task with enthusiasm and care.

Prior to joining Sands Anderson, Alex focused on mergers and acquisitions, working on various transactional matters with a focus in large-scale energy projects.

Beyond the office, Alex enjoys following Virginia Tech athletics, playing intramural sports, and traveling. He is also a scary movie connoisseur.
