July 21, 2015
Bradford A. King and Nicole S. Cheuk will present, “Addressing Bullying of Special Education Students,” on OSERS and OCR guidance, and case law at the Virginia School Boards Association’s 2015 Conference on Education in Richmond, VA.

August 10, 2015 
Michael R. Bedsaul will present, “Strategies for Successful Disciplinary Action,” to the Stafford Co., Spotsylvania Co., Caroline Co., and City of Fredericksburg Departments of Social Services in Virginia.

August 13, 2015
N Reid Broughton will present, “Proofing Your Contracts by Understanding the Key and Most Disputed Terms,” at the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce’s Business@Lunch event in Christiansburg, VA.

September 2, 2015
Michael T. Marr will present “Competence, Communication & Conflicts” with Minnesota Lawyers Mutual concerning the avoidance of malpractice and ethics complaints to a local legal group in Leesburg, VA.

September 18, 2015
Roy M. Terry, Jr. will moderate the Judges’ Panel discussing a variety of commercial and consumer bankruptcy topics for the 30th Annual Mid-Atlantic Institute on Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice in Charlottesville, VA. Six of the U. S. Bankruptcy Court Judges who sit in Virginia will participate on the panel.

September 25, 2015
Ruth T. Griggs
 will present, “Data Security Breaches ‘Who Ya Gonna Call?” which will discuss breach notification responsibilities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and two Virginia statutes, as well as other issues associated with breach notification. Ruth’s presentation is a part of the Professional Development Conference hosted by the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers in Richmond, VA.

September 29, 2015
Terrence L. Graves will moderate the “Pretrial and Trial Practices” panel at the Best Practices in Circuit Court CLE program of the Virginia CLE that will take place in Richmond, VA.

October 1, 2015
Jeffery H. Geiger will present Sands Anderson’s Second Annual Legal Ethics Seminar for clients and colleagues at the firm’s Richmond, VA office.

October 2, 2015
Andrew R. McRoberts will present “Legislation Update Ethics Vesting and FOIA” at the Fall 2015 Conference of the Virginia Association of Zoning Officials (VAZO) in Virginia Beach, VA.

October 7, 2015
Robert W. Partin will participate on a panel presenting “Foundations of Practice: Civil Litigation” to law students at the University of Richmond on civil litigation practice and necessary skills.

Jeffery H. Geiger will present two NBI Seminars, “Legal Strategies for Handling the Most Current and Complex Issues in Eminent Domain Today,” to lawyers, appraisers, and local governments on advanced eminent domain and valuation. He will first present in Virginia Beach and then in Richmond, VA.

October 14-16, 2015
