WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (September 6, 2023) – Sands Anderson PC is pleased to announce that Courtney H. Cox has joined the firm’s Williamsburg office as an associate. Cox provides comprehensive legal guidance to clients on estate planning and trust and estate disputes.
Cox represents individuals and couples developing or revising their estate planning documents, offers guidance to parents who want to ensure their children’s well-being, and supports fiduciaries and beneficiaries entangled in estate litigation, whether in pursuit of claims or in defense of them. She particularly enjoys helping young adults and other individuals without essential estate planning documents realize their benefits, assisting them to put in place advance medical directives, power of attorney documents, and a will or trust.
Cox’s fiduciary litigation experience includes proceedings for guardianship and conservatorships, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of trust claims, challenging the validity of a will or trust, and seeking court interpretation of the language within wills and trusts. She also represents businesses in contract disputes, claims of fraud, and other general civil litigation matters.
